Shipping & Delivery
The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order. If delivery cannot be made to your address, Earplugged will inform you as soon as possible, and refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for delivery. If there is no one at the address given who is competent to accept delivery of the goods, the relevant carrier will notify you of an alternative delivery date or a place to collect the goods. Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted, and in any event within 30 days of your order. However, Earplugged will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, Earplugged will inform you as soon as possible. You will become the owner of the goods you ordered and responsible for risk of loss of or damage to them once they have been delivered to you.
Privacy & Security
Earplugged will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but unless Earplugged is negligent, Earplugged will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you. Earplugged will only use the information you provide about yourself for the purpose of fulfilling your order, and for sending you emails regarding special offers or products relating to your purchase unless you agree otherwise. Earplugged do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment.
Returns & Replacements
Where the products have been delivered to you, you may cancel them up to 7 working days, starting from the day after the products were received, in line with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If you find that you have received your order and find it is damaged or lost in transit, please contact us immediately or within 2 days so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivering company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
We try to resolve these circumstances as efficiently and effectively as possible and keep you informed along the way.
Please follow our Returns Policy as set out below.
Any items you consider to be faulty should be returned with their original packaging to the earplugged address on the Contact Us page. Please note that "does not fit" does not equal "faulty". Not all earplugs will fit you. That is why we recommend Sample Packs as your first purchase.
You can return unopened and unused earplugs to us within seven working days of receiving your order. Any goods returned should be in saleable condition. Please note that the items that you wish to return, should not smell of smoke, body odour, perfume, aftershave, should not contain any form of animal or human hair, should not be cleaned, should not be marked, torn, mended or altered and not have been used for any purpose. Due to personal hygiene, opened packs and used ear plugs cannot be returned or refunded.
Please check suitability of your items before disregarding any packaging. When making a return we request that these items are returned in their original condition together with their original packaging. We are not a manufacturer, so the whole product and packaging must be returned as the same condition as you would have received it and how you may expect to receive it. All items are inspected on their return and if the product or packaging is in any way opened, missing or damaged, we cannot refund. Cost and Risk of return will be at your expense and we strongly recommend that you receive proof of posting or use Royal Mail’s “Signed for” service. We regret that outbound shipping, packing and insurance cannot be refunded.
Any returned goods that we receive which are outside of this Returns Policy will be defined as 'In Dispute'. Such In Dispute items will not be refunded. A reason for this decision will be provided. We are happy to re-ship such In Dispute items back to you, otherwise they will be destroyed within 91 calendar days from their receipt back to us.
Should an item be returned and received after 30 calendar days, we will have no obligation to refund. If you wish for the item to be resent to you, we will ask for a nominal fee to cover additional shipping costs.
We try to make refunds within one week of receipt back to us and endeavour to make all refunds within 30 calendar days from receipt of goods to our warehouse. Please note that we will not be held liable for any interest payment that you may incur because any refund was made outside of your credit/debit card timescales.
We are sorry but due to false promises in the past, we are unable to replace an item until the original is returned to ourselves in the condition as stated above. If you need an item in a hurry, we suggest you place a second order for the new item and send the original back at a later date.
These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our online store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Please ensure that you include a viable mobile number. If at all you have any problems with this process please do not hesitate to contact us; email@example.com.
We accept all major debit and credit cards, Visa and Mastercard, Paypal payments and cheques (by arrangement). We sell in UK Pounds Sterling (£). If you are shopping from Europe or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to Euro's or your own currency. Please note that no order will be dispatched for shipping until it is paid for in full.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us as soon as possible and we will correct the mistake if it has not already been despatched. Further, if you wish to amend your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, and you make delayed contact with us, and if your order has been shipped or received by you, you will need to follow the returns policy. Please note you may be liable for a return transportation charges for cancellations.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Prior to shipping, we reserve the right to decline, reject or similarly cancel any order or part order without notice and refund any payment in full.
Many products, especially accessories can be procured from different suppliers depending on stock availability. Please note therefore that products may come in different packaging.
Products and Descriptions
We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice. All sizes, weights, colours and further descriptions are given as a guide only and may be approximate.
- Representations of colour are approximate due to the limitations of photographic and calibrations of different output devices.
- A name given to a product is not necessarily representative of the colour - for example Aqua, may be shades of green or blue. If you have a specific requirement or are unsure as to the exact colour please e-mail us for assistance before purchasing.
- Foam is a flexible product and therefore will carry minor imperfections and characteristics such as grain and colour variation, these characteristics are not classed as a manufacturing fault. Words such as “antique pine” may not mean that the wood is “antique” wood.
- Accessories supplied to co-ordinate with the main product may differ in shade; this is normally caused by the manufacturing process and is not a fault.
Instructions for use
Please read all the instructions on the product packaging carefully, check the FAQs sections and email us if you require any further help. Adults must ensure that earplugs are kept out of the reach of children. Serious injury or death can result from misuse.
The responsibility for the use of ear plugs sold on this website is solely that of the user. Earplugged disclaims any and all liability, loss or otherwise, which may occur through negligence in the use of these products; to include insertion, application, wearing and the removal of these products. Customers are reminded to use discretion when wearing ear plugs, as the ear plugs will reduce outside sound significantly, especially in the case of important sirens, alarms or warnings. Customers must exercise care and proceed cautiously when inserting, applying (silicone and wax products) and removing ear plugs, to prevent potential damage to the ear. Customers must read the instructions provided with their earplugs carefully. Damage to the ear can result if you do not do this. Additionally, your earplugs will not work if they are not worn correctly. Used correctly, earplugs are safe. Put them in places where they're not supposed to go, and you could hurt yourself. They can't get into these places without your (or someone else's) intervention!
